Delete your account

You can delete your Twinbat account at any time, and you do not need to ask us first. Deleting removes your birth details, your chart, your matches, your posts and your messages. This page explains both routes and exactly what goes.
Delete it yourself
The fastest route is in the app, and it takes effect immediately.
In Twinbat
Open You → Settings → Delete account. You will be asked to confirm, because it cannot be undone.
You do not need to contact us, and we do not ask why. If you would rather step away without deleting anything, signing out leaves your account exactly as it is.
Ask us to delete it
If you cannot reach the app — you have lost access to your email, the app will not open, or you have already uninstalled it — write to us and we will delete it for you.

Send it from the email address on the account where you can. Where you cannot, tell us the address you signed up with and we will verify ownership another way before deleting anything — an account deletion that anybody could request for somebody else would be a worse problem than the one this page solves.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes:
Your identity
Your name, email address, phone number if you gave one, and your profile photo.
Your birth details and chart
Your birth date, birth time and birthplace, and every chart computed from them — your kundli, divisional charts, dashas and readings.
Your connections and conversations
Your matches, connection requests, and your messages. Where a conversation had another person in it, your side of it goes.
Your posts
Posts, comments, reactions and poll votes, and your membership of any circles.
What we keep, and why
A small amount survives deletion, and only where we are required to keep it or cannot safely remove it.
Records we are obliged to keep
Payment and tax records, where any payment was made. Tax law sets how long, not us, and these hold the transaction rather than your profile.
Safety records
If your account was reported or actioned for abuse, we keep the record of that. Otherwise deleting an account would be a way to clear a history and start again, which would make the people who reported you less safe.
Backups
Deletion applies to our live systems immediately. Encrypted backups age out on their own schedule and are never used to restore a deleted account.
How long it takes
In-app deletion is immediate: your account stops working the moment you confirm, and your data is removed from our live systems straight away.
Emailed requests are answered within 30 days, and in practice much sooner. We will confirm in writing once it is done.
Deletion is permanent. There is no recovery window and no way for us to bring an account back, so please be sure before you confirm.
