Pisces rising ♓

The lagna — the ascendant — is the sign rising on the eastern horizon at the moment you were born. The Earth turns through all twelve in a day, so the rising sign changes roughly every two hours. Two babies born in the same hospital three hours apart have different lagnas.

That is why Twinbat asks for a birth time and asks how confident you are about it. Without one the ascendant cannot be computed at all, and the app says so rather than quietly guessing noon.

Pisces is mutable and water, ruled by Jupiter, with Neptune in modern practice. As a rising sign it colours first impressions and the reflexes you reach for under pressure — which is often a different register from what your Moon is doing underneath.

A shared lagna means two people meet the world through the same filter. Combined with a shared birthday and a birth time within minutes, it is the strongest signal Twinbat has that two people were born into genuinely similar sky.

Houses are computed with Placentia and Whole Sign both available; near the poles, where Placidus degrades, the app falls back rather than reporting a house cusp it cannot stand behind.
